U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail International Insurance
Shipping insurance is advised in case something happens in route. This is especially true for items going out of the United States. In the unlikely event something does happen to your shipment and you do not purchase insurance, the item cannot be reshipped without repayment. At the sender's option, packages with added insurance may be mailed to many destination countries to insured against loss, damage, or missing contents. Shipping insurance is required for some products, but is optional for others. See individual products.
Even though flat-rate envelope and small flat-rate box selections may display at check out for International shipments, they do not apply. The reason for this is shipping can be delayed for up to 3 months. The shipping department for these items will not ship using this method to international locations. The flat rate rarely, if ever, applies for Domestic shipments either.
