Natural Healing Healthy Lifestyle Habits: EXERCISE

June 21, 2010

Besides consuming lots of healthy fluids, eating a healthy diet, taking personal body care seriously and avoiding unhealthy habits and substances, we need to exercise. Exercise helps to tone the body and condition the heart so it is able to pump oxygen-rich blood efficiently throughout the body. It needs to be part of every health plan for optimal results.

If you do not like to exercise, find something fun you like even if it is a Wii game. Start small and work up to a more intense exercise routine. You don’t want to get so sore that you quit working out all together. Do it regularly. Once you start feeling better, doing more is easier. If you do it enough, you may get so you love it. If you need some ideas about what to do, there are plenty. Walk, bicycle, use a stationary bike, hike, jog on a rebounder, jump on a trampoline, do floor exercises, exercise using DVDs, experience yoga, play ping pong, tennis, golf, basketball, swim, go skiing, play Wii exercise games, go bowling, rafting, canoeing, do team sports if that works for you and more. The choices are almost endless. If you sit at a desk all day, calisthenics could be a start.

Benefits of exercise include more than toning and oxygenating cells. Exercise helps with losing weight, looking better, feeling better, improved cholesterol profiles, heart disease, diabetes and more. In order to have the energy to exercise with less risk of injury and with more enjoyment, speed and effectively, drink plenty of pure fluids, especially during exercise. Drink water during exercise, increasing the amount as temperature and exercise intensity increases. Drink freshly juiced fruits and vegetables for quick absorption and energy. Do the juicing yourself to save money. Juice a wide variety of produce using one of the best juicers available for long-term use. Eat raw and dried fruits and vegetables as well as sprouted grains, nuts and seeds using sprouters and food dehydrators to help increase the amount of enzymes in your diet to optimize exercise performance. Sprouted grains can even be ground into flour to use in raw food recipes using grain mills to increase the enzymes in your diet.

In conclusion, exercise at least several times a week. Increase intensity as you become more fit. Fitness is important for feeling better, personal appearance, self-esteem, pumping blood efficiently and overall health. However, it is not the end all. It should be incorporated into a complete health regiment that includes plenty of healthy fluids, nourishing foods rich in enzymes, a good body care plan and the avoidance of certain substances and habits.
