Single Gear juicers use a single gear to chew or masticate the fruits and vegetables, resulting in more fiber, enzymes, vitamins, and trace minerals in the juice. Masticating juicers are usually more efficient than centrifugal and will juice most fruits and vegetables. They will also juice wheatgrass, spinach, and other leafy greens and herbs.
The Samson uses a low-speed gear that will even juice aloe and pine needles. It is rare to find another juicer that can do this. It will also homogenize to make a wide variety of foods. The housing is made of thick polycarbonate with a melamine gear and a metal juicing screen. This juicer is NOT recommended for juicing mostly carrots.
