Sweet Marjoram
Sweet Marjoram (Origanum majorana) of the Lamiaceae family, contains rhizomes and is an aromatic herb whose essential oil is produced by steam distillation. Sweet Marjoram which has an aroma similar to cardamom, contains linalool and blends well with eucalyptus oil, cedar oil, lavender oil, rosemary oil, Bergamot oil, camphor oil, cypress oil, chamomile essential oil, and Tea tree oil.

| Botanical Description: |
An herbaceous plant that grows as tall as 0.6-meter (1 to 2 ft) in height. Perennial bushy plant, but annual or biennial in Europe. It has oblique rhizomes, hairy shrub like stalks, opposite dark green oval leaves, and white or red flowers in clustered bracts (leaf-like protection for the flower). The plant is very fragrant. |
