Lavandin
A hybridization of lavender flowers from true lavender and spike lavender is how lavandin came into existence. Lamiaceae is the family from which lavandin comes. The pleasant, sweet floral aroma of lavandin containing limonene, linalool, and terpinen-4-ol, balances herbaceous oils such as oregano oil. Lavandin essential oil is produced from the steam distillation of lavandin flowers to give a normalizing effect. Lavandin blends well with oil of oregano, clove oil, patchouli oil, clary sage, bay leaf, pine oil, cinnamon oil, lime oil, rosemary oil, bergamot oil, cassia oil, geranium essential oil, cypress oil (often called Italian cypress), and thyme oil.
